hey girlies!

i'm finally back in the states (well, i have been for about 2 days now?) but i've been super jetlagged and really sleepy 24/7 so i apologize for this late blog post!

the last week in china was pretty cool seeing as i've never been to shanghai. it was really cold and i had underpacked for the weather since i left straight from la to go to asia and allllll my warm stuff was at home and my mom forgot i told her to pack a little extra more for me.... so basically i wore all the layers i had, which ended up being like 5 or 6 :P we did all sorts of touristy things and basically had amazing food and good fam time.

now that i'm home, things are quite a bit different. with just me and my mom home, things are quieter and i'm usually (aka based on the last 2 days) home alone till she gets back from work. i've been working on a resume for something to do over the summer so i haven't been out too much but my best friends stopped by yesterday. it was kind of weird seeing them after not being so stellar at keeping in touch over the past quarter. things have changed that i can't quite put my finger on and its definitely harder to talk to them about spiritual growth as they aren't christian...

prayer requests for this last week: 1) for this last week at home, hopefully ending on a high note with friends and fam back home; 2) diligence in devos (which trailed off a bit the last few days of my trip in china); 3) my upcoming ct scan on the 9th.

i won't be heading back to school until the night of the 9th, so it seems as though i'll be missing the first small group of winter quarter :( sad. hope youre all doing well!

Hello everyone! Happy New Year's!

Sorry I haven't been updating. Haha! Things have been quite... eventful these past two weeks. This has probably been the most different out of all winter breaks that has ever occured. For example, this winter break I thought I'd be hanging out with friends mostly, but I ended up hanging out with my family for most of the time. So... that's been cool... hahaha! Um... there's not much else to say.

Spiritually-wise, I've been quite consistent with doing my daily devotions, but I have to remind myself not to just go through the motions. I have to really digest what I'm reading and apply it. Yeup!

So... school's going to start up soon. That's exciting... kinda. Haha! The rest of this week I'm going to be hanging out with friends (since this whole break has pretty much been hanging out with family). And... yes... I hope everyone's winter breaks have been wonderful!

Prayer requests... um... I think I'm getting sick... aish! Haha! I really don't want that to happen again. So that's one. And the second one: I don't want to be complacent with where I am spiritually. I want to continually grow closer to God and grow in my knowledge of the Word. Thank you for your prayers! :-D
